Sorry, everyone — I thought I’d have the second installment of the Pleasure Fair piece up by now but I’ve gotten amazingly sick — barely enough energy to turn over in bed.

This is pretty much the way I’ve been for the past 48 hours.  If I’m not better tomorrow, I’ll take this bug to the Motion Picture Health Clinic in West Hollywood and let them go to work on me.

Your health is more important than your blog. Right before write. Get well.

    Get well soon, Tim.

  3. EverettK Says:

Very sorry to hear. I’ll email all of my excess energy to you right away!

Tim – Chicken soup, vitamin C! Get well!

  5. Larissa Says:

Oh no! That’s not good-I agree with Stephen. Lots of warm soup, vitamin C, maybe throw in some Vitamin E and get better! We’ll be here waiting when you resurface.

  6. Suzanna Says:

    Hope you feel better soon!!!

I’m lighting a white candle for you.

Tim, do you remember that mom made us a get well drink that I found out later in life was called a whisky sour. Its enough to make me feel a bug coming on too. Get well soon

  11. Phil Hanson Says:

At least you look comfortable. Get well soon, Tim.

  12. Gary Says:

Hey – stay alive! We have a date later this year in Phnom Penh.

  13. Bonnie Says:

Better sick in bed than in Frankie Valli’s position. (Reading appellate court case about the fight over his life insurance policy with his now ex-wife.) Perhaps you could ask Munyin to put down the camera and go find some hot and sour soup!

  14. Timothy Hallinan Says:

Wow, so THIS is how you get comments — the old sympathy ploy.

I’m upright again, and days behind on everything but will be back with the 2nd PF post within 24 hours.

Got good news, which I’ll blog about later — we have the nonprofit partner for the Japan book that I’ve been hinting around about. Will describe it in more detail in a few days.

Thanks for the cards and letters, folks. Mike, wish I’d thought of the whiskey sour two days ago.

  15. Peg Brantley Says:

    Glad you’re feeling better.

Even more glad you’re a man with a keen interest in the welfare of others.

I can pick ’em. (Okay, a little prideful, but still.)

  16. Lisa Says:

So sorry to hear that you’ve been sick — and glad to see you’re on the mend!

  17. Timothy Hallinan Says:

Hi, Peg and Lisa — Thanks to both of youse for dropping in — Lisa, I went straight home from drinking coffee with you and got into bed. Don’t think I’m contagious, since it’s missed Munyin and she catches everything that floats by. She’s like the canary in my mine — she gets the sniffles and I go to Joshua Tree.

  18. Lisa Says:

Tim, nary a sniffle over here, so I think you’re right.

  19. Jenny Milchman Says:

Feel better, Tim! I was sorry to read on DL that I’d missed your post because I would’ve sent cyber chicken soup. Or the real stuff.
